²⁵ Then all the people answered and said, His blood be on us and on our children!

²⁶ Then he let Barabbas go free to them, and had Jesus scourged, and delivered him to be crucified.

²⁷ Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus to the common hall, and gathered to him the whole company of soldiers.
